Recently, the 2020 Foton Automobile Group Global Partner Conference was officially held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The conference adopted a new scenario to showcase the vehicle, closer to the user scene. Today, we'll take a look at the bulk cargo truck.
▎Coal Dump Truck Engineering Power Chain
The Auman GTL 6x4 coal dump truck often drives in harsher road conditions, and in order to adapt to this complex road condition, the vehicle is equipped with an engineering power chain. FotonCummins X12 engine has a maximum output of 490 horsepower and a maximum torque of 2300 Nm. After professional optimization and adjustment, it can burst out of large torque at low speed, so that the vehicle without fear of all kinds of difficult road conditions. In addition, the X13.560 horsepower engine is available for a fuller power reserve.
Matching X-Series Oman engineering professional 12-speed transmission, transmission efficiency, the use of sub-box planetary gear structure, with forced lubrication system, to ensure reliability. And has a broader speed ratio, which can not only bring a strong power but save the oil. Not only that, the rear axle, frame, suspension and other aspects have been optimized upgrades, so that the overall stability of the vehicle will be better while driving.
▎Euro 6 LNG coal transportation weapon
The Oman GTL 6x4 tractor is equipped with a weichai WP13NG460E61 natural gas engine with a maximum output of 460 horsepower and a maximum output torque of 2300 Nm, which meets the emissions of the Euro6. And the use of a new lightweight design, no side beam gas cylinder frame. The G20 suspension keeps the vehicle's self-weight in a lighter range. The 180Ah cryogenic battery is also available for independent heating, allowing it to enjoy more warmth even in the cold climate of the north.
▎ More efficient of coal dumping
Auman GTL 6x4 tractor, 50mm has been increased in the middle bumper, small cross-section AL-fuel tank, after-treatment and other parts , and the use of 459 double differential lock rear axle, with high passability, easy to cope with the sink, coal pile and other complex road conditions. At the same time, a force extractor can be added to enable the tractor to achieve dump, not only improve the efficiency of unloading coal, but also save a lot of time.
The truck is powered by a Fukang X12 engine with a maximum output of 460 horsepower and a maximum output torque of 2300 Nm. Matching Fast 12-speed manual aluminum case transmission, model 12JSDX240TA with over-speed. The 13-ton rear axle is used with a speed ratio of 3.7. Equipped with 180Ah cryogenic battery, it provides independent heating and easily copes with the cold conditions in the north.
Equipped with a 515-115-litre dual fuel tank, two pairs of diesel fuel with different labels can be filled, switching low-standard diesel at low temperatures, making the vehicle start-up smoother.
▎Full lightweight, lower self-weight
In the transportation of coal mines, sands and other bulk cargo, the vehicle's self-weight is particularly important. This lightweight version of the Oman GTL 6x4 tractor weighs only 7.9T. While effectively reducing fuel consumption, it can also carry more cargo, taking into account many aspects.
The truck has been fully optimized in the saddle, plate reed, frame, center ,rear bridge and other "skeleton" to achieve weight loss of 135 kg. At the same time, the proportion of lightweight materials in the vehicle application significantly increased, such as aluminum alloy tank, aluminum alloy gas cylinder, aluminum alloy wheels, etc., a total weight reduction of 275 kg.
In terms of power, it is powered by a Cummins X12 engine with a maximum output of 430 horsepower, a maximum output torque of 2200 Nm, and a matching Faust 12TX2420TD aluminum shell transmission. The vehicle uses a 10-ton rear axle with a speed ratio of 2.864, which is suitable for highway transportation.
Bulk cargo transport has higher demand for vehicle performance and reliability due to its frequent access to various harsh road conditions, as well as a sensitivity to vehicle weight.
