Isuzu GIGA Fire truck in Fire Protection Equipment Exhibition
At the 18th China International Fire Fighting Equipment Technology Exchange Exhibition, which has come to an end, Qingling Isuzu GIGA fire truck has completed its first show in a large-scale fire protection exhibition. This equipment transporter built by CSCTRUCK Co., Ltd. adopts Qingling Isuzu GIGA 4x2 fire truck chassis, mainly for the logistics support of firefighting equipment at large-scale fire scenes.
As early as 2017 when Qingling Isuzu GIGA was launched on the market, the relevant representatives of Qingling Motors said in an interview with the media that in addition to developing the tractor product line, Isuzu GIGA will also launch various special vehicle chassis to adapt to the domestic market. In fact, Qingling Motors has many years of experience in the production of fire truck chassis. In 2001, when Qingling first launched the F series of heavy-duty trucks with Isuzu, the chassis of fire-fighting trucks are popular across the country.
The Qingling Isuzu that was unveiled at the International Fire Protection Exhibition this time adopts a 4x2 drive mode, and its top is mainly a hook lift equipment module box. Although ISUZU was removed from the front face due to the need to paste the words "Rescue", the iconic double V-shaped grille conveys its pure Isuzu pedigree. Since it is not the first vehicle to be dispatched, manning is no longer the main requirement. The original factory’s flat-roof cab with sleeper can already meet the needs of equipment vehicles.
The cab of the GIGA truck uses airbags suspension. Although it is a fire truck, the comfort of the occupants still needs to be ensured, especially for firefighters who have experienced a big fire. They need a comfortable cab to get a short rest.
For an equipment transporter, it must be able to move and run fast. The chassis of this GIGA truck uses a 9.8-liter 6UZ1 series diesel engine produced by Qingling Isuzu’s joint venture factory, with a maximum output of 380 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,765 Nm. The transmission power comes from the manual transmission of ZF.
