OUR STORY

The journey commenced in February 1960 in Suizhou, China, with just 20 individuals establishing a truck parts workshop. Over the past six decades, this state-owned company has undergone rapid growth, now employing over 5000 individuals.

Timeline

In the 1960s, a state-owned truck spare parts workshop, originally named Changjiang Auto Parts Factory, was established in Wuhan, China. With over 20 employees, the facility relocated from Wuhan, where it started as a small parts shop, to Suizhou, a hub for China's agricultural machinery. There, it began producing trailers for agricultural tractors and was renamed Suizhou General Motor Vehicle Reequipping Factory.

In the 1970s, Suizhou General Motor Vehicle Reequipping Factory was divided into two factories, Hubei Chile Motor Vehicle (Group) Co.Ltd and Hubei Chu Sheng Motor Vehicle (Group) Co.Ltd (ChuSheng Co.).

In 1992, the Suizhou General Motor Vehicle Reequipping Factory established a truck chassis production line that rivaled Dongfeng's capabilities.

In 1993, Hubei ChuSheng Motor Vehicle (Group) Co.Ltd investigated USD 3 million built a 3000sqm new painting plant, imported British Drier patented technology, and updated the Punching and welding workshop.

In 1998, the special truck industry became the cornerstone of the Suizhou Government's economic focus, with a total of 58 special truck factories flourishing in the region. Among them, a state-owned company with five medium-sized factories in Suizhou stood out as the pioneer of special trucks in China. With 19,483 employees, including 1,658 technicians and engineers, the entire Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) sector contributed significantly to the city's industry, generating a value of USD 1.5 billion.

In 1994, ChuSheng Co. expanded its SPV facility by adding a 56,000-square-meter extension, creating 500 new jobs, and increasing production capacity for cargo vans, dump trucks, and semitrailers. The company achieved an annual output of 8,000 units of various trucks and trailers. Furthermore, in the same year, "ChuSheng" earned the prestigious title of "Top-quality" brand.

In 1996, Chusheng Co. cooperated with Dongfeng Motor Co. and established an SPV base for Dongfeng, developed an 8 Ton Tri-axle dump truck chassis in a short time was ranked number 1 in the quality inspection held by CIQC and captured the China market soon.

In 1997, Chusheng Co. exported 50 Units of dump trucks to South Asia which started their International introduced their new overseas market, and opened the door for their SPV exporting business.

1998, was Chusheng's most difficult year, the whole truck industry was certainly in a tight corner, and a bunch of SPV factories inevitably went on the road to bankruptcy, merger, and reorganization. And the experienced sales, technicians from Chusheng's Co, Chile Co., and Suizhou General Motor all jumped into the SPV startup business. They are started in a mini-workshop by hummers and humans, manufacturing the special truck in one unit and the other, gradually growing in the industry.

In 2002, Wang Huanyi, an original staff member from Chusheng Co., purchased the bankrupted ChuSheng for USD 1.6 million. Alongside 45 other individuals, they established a new company named Suizhou ChuSheng Trailers Co., Ltd., shifting ChuSheng from a state-owned to a private-owned entity.

In 2004, Hubei YuanTong Vehicle Sales Co. Ltd. (private-owned) collaborated with Dongfeng (state-owned) to form Dongfeng Suizhou Special Purpose Vehicle Co. Ltd. This marked the inception of enterprises under the Composite-Ownership System (combining state-owned and private capital). Subsequently, several state-owned companies, including Sinotruk, CHTC (China Hi-Tech Group Corporation), XGMA, CASC (China Aerospace Science and Tech Corporation), and CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC), relocated to Suizhou. By the end of 2018, the city boasted a total of 11 mixer companies specializing in special trucks and related parts, with combined assets exceeding USD 6 billion.

In 2005, Suizhou ChuSheng Trailers Co., Ltd. Changed its name to ChuSheng Commercial Truck Co., Ltd (CSCTRUCK).

 

In 2006, CSCTRUCK passed the ISO9001 Quality Certification.

In December 2007, Suizhou received the prestigious title of "Metropolis of Special Trucks" from the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF). CSCTRUCK proudly achieved the "Top 1" ranking for Quality Control Systems in the special truck industry.

In 2008, the Chinese brand name and logo, "CSCTRUCK," were officially registered as the brand's English name.

In December 2010, XGMA joined forces with Chusheng Co. and relocated to a new facility spanning 200,000 square meters. This facility boasted an annual production capacity of 30,000 units of various types of special trucks. Ownership was shared with state owners holding 62.5% and private owners holding 37.5%.

In 2011, CSCTRUCK ranked 206th among the "Top 500 Chinese Enterprises".

In December 2013, CSCTRUCK was honored to be included in the prestigious list of "China's Well-known Trademarks."

In December 2015, CSCTRUCK obtained the license for Research and Manufacturing of National Defense Weapons and Equipment.

In July 2018, CSCTRUCK acquired the license for manufacturing Fire Trucks.

In December 2018, CSCTRUCK became a subsidiary of CRCC, with CRCC holding 99% of the controlling shares. The company expanded its facility to 700,000 square meters. With a product range covering 500 different types of special trucks and trailers, CSCTRUCK's oil tank trucks ranked first in sales, while Wrecker Trucks consistently ranked in the top three over six years. Additionally, Garbage Trucks secured a place in the top ten across China.

As of 2019, CSCTRUCK seized the opportunity presented by the "Belt & Road" National Policy, promptly crafting a "Going Out" development strategy and actively venturing into overseas markets. CSCTRUCK has successfully exported its products to 21 countries spanning South America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, with a cumulative export value totaling USD 109,000,000.
